    Principal Psychologist

    Based in Oxford, Hogrefe Ltd is a developer, publisher and distributor of psychometric tests (both in hard copy form and online) for the occupational and educational/clinical markets. Our range of assessments is used by psychologists, HR professionals and professionals in the health and education fields. We are part of the Hogrefe Group, a leading European publisher of psychological tests, books, scientific journals and associated materials.  

    We are seeking to appoint a Principal Psychologist who will support Hogrefe’s high professional and technical standards for product development and service delivery. They will work equally across our customer service/marketing and publishing/content development teams to produce and communicate high-quality psychometric tests and training courses.

     
  • Responsibilities:

    • With the help of our experienced team, develop expertise in our occupational and educational/clinical test portfolios.
    • Support the publishing team in the preparation of tests for our portfolio, including content development and evaluation, maintaining and aiding in the development of our network in the scientific and assessment community, review of research plans, liaison with developers and authors, and development of new training courses and materials.
    • Support sales and customer support functions as the first point of technical back up and advice on test choice and use.
    • Attend conferences and exhibitions and give presentations as required.
    • Any other duties that may be required.
    • Essential:

      • MSc in Psychology or equivalent experience in psychometrics.
      • Good knowledge of best practice in design and use of psychometric tests plus a strong commitment to ethical practice, attention to detail and concern for quality. 
      • Excellent presentation and networking skills and able to build rapport quickly.
      • Outstanding communication skills, especially telephone manner and in customer meetings.
      • Above average verbal reasoning and fluency; manifest in both oral and written communication.
      • Good MS Office skills and experience (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
      • Equally comfortable working as part of a team and working independently.
      • Registered Occupational or Educational Test User.
      Desirable:
      • Chartered status or working towards chartership.
      • Qualified in the use of recognized ability and personality tests.
      • Experience of using psychometric tests as a practitioner.
      • Business development experience such as writing proposals and attending pitches.
      • Proficiency in other languages.

      Part-time Administrator

      Hogrefe Ltd, Oxford, 20 hours per week

      We are searching for an administrator to join our finance and distribution team. The role is varied and will cover finance, distribution and general administration tasks.
      This is a great opportunity to gain a broad understanding of how finance and distribution integrates with the business as a whole.

      The successful candidate will be computer literate with experience of Excel and be capable of low error transaction processing. The ability to work well both independently as well as part of a team with the capability to work well under pressure are important attributes of the role.

      As you will be working in a small team, it is important that you can adapt to a changing environment and have a flexible outlook.

      Role Responsibilities

      • Invoice filing, scanning and archiving
      • Daily sales/customer account reconciliations
      • PODs status update and reconciliation
      • Processing and filing daily point of sale receipts/credit card transaction summary details
      • Matching invoices/delivery notes
      • Customer and supplier statement reconciliations
      • Assistance with warehousing tasks like stocktaking
      • Receipts of deliveries
      • Assembly of specific test products
      • Communicating effectively with internal and external bodies to resolve queries
      • Support with process improvements
      • Ad hoc general office tasks

      Person Specification
